Place Beausejour resident Irene Redekopp was chosen Telus Volunteer of the Year 2021.
Most recently, Irene was a driver for the Ronald McDonald House in Edmonton. She
would drive families to the Stollery for their very sick children, pickup groceries & bakery
items. Irene has made herself available to work casinos for Zebra, ME Society of
Edmonton etc. In her community of Beaumont, Irene volunteers to help seniors and organized
special events (Place Beaujour and 55+ Seniors Community Centre). Irene has also volunteered to help
sort clothing at the Mennonite Centre for Newcomers and count money for the Salvation Army
after their Christmas Campaign for donations.
