Place Beausejour was the scene of Beaumont’s very first Meals on Wheels program Thursday July 8. Partnering with the parent organization based in Edmonton, frozen meals were delivered by volunteer Gerry (who was also our very first client!) and sorted into individual orders by resident volunteers Carol and Eileen.
Deadlines for orders are the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month and delivery comes the 2nd and 4th Thursdays.
Thanks to Beaumont’s FCSS staff member Dinah for bringing this program to our attention. Place Beausejour is serving as a pilot project for the entire city. It is run completely be residents.
