Place Beausejour celebrated its 25th Anniversary in July with a crowd of more than 75 attendees, including several distinguished guests. Pictured below, Ed and Raymonde Boyachuk who have called Place Beausejour home for the past 25 years, Beaumont Mayor Lisa Vanderkwaak, Rollie Belland who graciously provided the land for Place Beausejour, PB’s first manager Adelle Madu, and past mayor Carmille Berube.
Those attending enjoyed reconnecting with familiar faces, indulging in cake and refreshments, and swapping plenty of stories and laughs. Place Beausejour exists today because of the many volunteers—past and present—who devoted their time, energy, and heart to the community. One of the most influential was the late Ella Mortimer, whose vision and determination were the driving force behind both the concept and the construction of Place Beausejour. Ella’s contribution deserves our recognition and appreciation. Thank you Ella.
