Eighteen U11 hockey player’s from the Beaumont Blazers came to Place Beausejour Friday March 15 to be paired with 18 seniors. Sponsored by R & R Empowering Society, this inaugural event’s purpose was to connect seniors with children.
On Sunday March 17th, all were taken to the Sawmill in Edmonton for a pregame dinner and then on to Roger’s Place to take in the Oil Kings vs Swift Current Broncos game. Both the Seniors and youngster’s shared a day of fun together. Many thanks to R & R Empowering Society for sponsoring this outing, and to Sharon T. and Linda C. for organizing.
